Memphis Bridge

The Hernando De Soto bridge is Memphis’ most iconic bridge and has a strong presence in Memphis’s skyline. It is a through arch bridge carrying interstate 40 across the Mississippi River between West Memphis, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. The architectural design is a continuous cantilevered cable-stayed steel through arch, with bedstead endposts.

I am originally from Vitoria, ES – Brazil and Memphis has been my adopted city for the past several years. In my version of Memphis skyline, I celebrate my love for the city, the city that I chose to stay and help make a difference in the built environment.
